Always on Time

“At the right time, I, the Lord, will make it happen.”
Isaiah 60:22b (NLT)

Always on Time

Arise and shine, dear one! God is with you!

Rain splattered across my windshield as I turned up the radio. Thoughts had been swirling in my head all morning… potential scenarios for how God might provide in the coming weeks and months. I sighed, a mix of frustration and fear rising in my chest, and prayed: God, will You show up on time?

Just then, the words on the radio answered my question:

Jesus
I was tossed in the water
But I never went under
You were always on time
Jesus
When I went through the fire
You were right there besidе me
You were always on timе

Always on time. That's our God. He's never late. He's not caught off guard. He knows what's coming and sees what we cannot. He is not worried.

I smiled as I remembered my own testimony… the moments I've seen God show up right on time. He has written stories of His faithfulness on my heart, and when I look back, I see His perfect track record. Even in the seasons when I've doubted His timing and couldn't see what He was doing, His character never changed and His trustworthiness never wavered.

Throughout Scripture, we see God arrive at exactly the right moment. Joseph was in prison at just the right time to interpret Pharaoh's dream, which positioned him as second-in-command and allowed him to prepare for the coming famine, ultimately saving his own family. Before the Egyptian army could overtake the Israelites, God parted the Red Sea. When Daniel was thrown into the lions' den, God shut their mouths before they could cause any harm. And Esther was made queen at the precise moment her people would need her to intercede before the king for their rescue.

Then Jesus himself came, at the perfect time, to be our Savior. And His return will also come at the exact moment God has ordained. As Isaiah declares: "At the right time, I, the Lord, will make it happen."

It is simply in God's nature to act at the perfect time. He knows better than we do when that moment is.

Are you waiting on God's timing today, dear one? Are you wondering if He will show up? You can trust Him. Our God is always on time.
