Meeting Schedule

We will be meeting twice a month on Wednesday evenings at 6:30-8:00 PM at West Salem Christian Church. Childcare will be provided for those that need it to attend our meetings!

One meeting a month will feature teaching on how God sees us as moms and what we can learn from the examples of moms throughout the Bible. The second meeting of the month will have a craft or activity to enjoy as we fellowship with one another.

We want this to be a safe place for moms to find community, grow in their faith, pray for their kids, and encourage one another. If this sounds like what you've been looking for, join us! We'd love to have you!

Note: We know this is a common time for other church events for kids, so if you need to leave a few minutes early to pick up your child, we totally understand!

Leadership

Motherhood has provided such a meaningful transformation for both Janelle and Darla, developing a deeper reliance on God. He has placed it on our hearts that we need more opportunities for moms to connect, be in the Word together and encourage one another through community. We are so excited about Moms of Grace launching and the work God will do!

Janelle Cach

Janelle started her career as a K/1 teacher and now supports school districts as an Account Manager working for a EdTech Company. In the evenings and weekends, you’ll likely find her enjoying the beautiful PNW at the local community garden, hiking or adventuring with her family. The greatest blessing that God gave Janelle is her family. She has two boys and is married to her high school sweetheart.

Darla Butterfield

Darla is the Content Director for Arise Women's Ministry. She has a degree from Fresno Pacific University in Mathematics and worked as a high school math teacher for several years. She is now using her passion for teaching in ministry as she inspires women to deepen their understanding of the Living God through studying His Word. Darla is a wife and a mom to her four children. Save the date for these upcoming events and local opportunities and join us for whatever works for you! Our meetups are for all moms even if you don't attend our regular meetings.

January 31st 12:00 PM at McDonald's (4020 Commercial St SE, Salem)

Bring the kids and meet us at McDonald's for a playdate and time for moms to connect. We'd love to see you there!

February 12th at 6:30 - 8:00 PM at West Salem Christian Church

We're hosting a watercolor paint night for ladies ages 12+ similar to this spring flower and bumblebee project (pictured above). Bethany Johnson will guide us through the process and supplies are included. The cost is $20 per person. Learn more, register, and pay here. We'd love to have you join us for this fun night of creativity and fellowship!

9:30 - 11:30 AM at West Salem Christian Church

Save the date for our Sisterhood Celebration as we celebrate God's faithfulness across generations! This event is open to women ages 10 and up. We will worship together with songs from different decades, listen to Biblical teaching on the story of Ruth, and participate in a craft for all ages to enjoy. A light breakfast will be provided. We hope you'll join us!

Arise Women's Ministry Fall Retreat September 26th - 28th

Our next retreat will be September 26th - 28th, 2025 at the Good Shepherd Lodge at the Christian Renewal Center near Silver Falls! Fill out the interest form and we will contact you as soon as registration opens!

Becoming a Mom of Grace

Praying Scripture for our Children

Motherhood is hard. As moms, it’s easy to worry about our kids and wonder what we can do to be the best moms we can be. God has given us a powerful resource in His Word and we can pray that over our children! We need God’s grace daily in our lives, especially in our motherhood journey. Becoming a Mom of Grace will walk you through 31 scriptures with background context and a corresponding prayer to pray for your children. Additional space is provided for journaling your own prayers or thoughts. As you pray God’s Word over your children, you will better see God’s grace active in their lives and in your life as well. My prayer is for your faith and trust in the Living God to grow as you pray scripture over your children.
