Rachel has been with Arise since joining our first Bible study in 2021, and she shared with us this testimony from her experience:

“The study was called “Looking for Lovely”. It focused on celebrating the positive things in life, even in the mundane and utilizing our God given gifts and talents to find the lovely in our every day lives. This was an eye-opening step back into the world of Christ and his community for me, and this was only the beginning. Since then I have continued to join Christi and the lovely team of women leaders in Arise for what has become a beautiful journey. I am renewed in my faith and have benefitted so much from the community that they have created and fostered.”

Arise Women's Ministry has created a place where women from many different backgrounds and in many different seasons of their lives are coming together to study God's Word; a safe place where women "... stir up one another to love and good works...encouraging one another..."(from Hebrews 10: 24-25, ESV) as we grow closer to God. The studies we've done have strengthened me in my walk with the Lord. I now know what it means when people say they have a hunger for God's Word, because I have it now, too.

I am a 71-year-old widow who has found a place in Arise Women's Ministry. We study the Bible. No one doesn’t have something to share about what they are finding in God. He speaks to each of our hearts and we share our difficulties and our joys. I love being with the younger women. I see them going through some of the same difficulties that I have gone through. I get to encourage them and it reminds me that God got me through those things and that He will continue to be faithful to help me in the new stages of my life as well. Also, they teach me new insights and I learn new things every time. None of us is meant to go on this journey alone and they have shown me great love and support. We are a sisterhood in the body of Christ. I am praising Him for His great love.

Arise Women’s Ministry has given me a sense of strength and belonging. We lift each other up! We dive into Scripture, saturate ourselves with the truth and get ready to greet the week with our armor on! Arise is a safe place in this time of uncertainty where the only constant is Jesus. Through Arise’s Bible studies, I have developed deep, lasting, Christ-centered friendships. We pray for each other, laugh with each other, and cry with each other. We bare our souls and get real with our sisters in Christ. My spiritual journey has been a true blessing thus far and my eyes and heart are open to hearing the Lord say, “You are my beloved."
