Our Team

Christi is the Founder of Arise Women’s Ministry. She first felt called to women’s ministry when she saw women in her life who were struggling to handle life’s challenges and she recognized that they needed a deep, personal relationship with Jesus that was founded on the Truth of the Bible. She began leading women’s Bible studies and found her true passion: helping women experience victory by surrendering to Jesus and allowing Him to guide their steps. Rarely a day goes by when she doesn’t read the Word of God in some capacity, even just a few verses, knowing that bathing her mind in Truth is the key to overcoming the messages of this world. Christi lives in Aumsville, Oregon, with her husband, who pastors their church in West Salem, and her two children. She loves writing her blog and she loves reading. She also loves snuggling her happy dog Harper, a Goldendoodle/Husky mix. Her heart came alive when she began leading women’s ministry and writing, and she cares deeply about helping other women use their gifts to further God’s kingdom during this one short life we get to live.

Darla is the Content Director for Arise Women's Ministry. She has a degree from Fresno Pacific University in Mathematics and worked as a high school math teacher for several years. She is now using her passion for teaching in ministry as she inspires women to deepen their understanding of the Living God through studying His Word. She enjoys writing Bible studies and encouraging other moms. Her Bible studies include James: Faith in Action and Joseph: God’s Faithfulness in the Waiting. She’s also compiled scripture prayers for moms in her book Becoming a Mom of Grace. Darla lives in Salem, Oregon and is a wife and mom to her four children.

Jolynn committed her life to Christ at the age of 12 when she was baptized in the same church she still attends to this day. She joined the Arise team as a Bible Study Leader in the spring of 2023. She is passionate about getting women to read through the entire Bible in order to learn who our God is and who He says we are. She works and lives in Salem, Oregon. She married her high school sweetheart in August of 2000. Her hobby is driving her racecar at amateur motorsport events around the Pacific Northwest.

Kristi spent over 20 years working in law enforcement as a fingerprint technician and providing clerical support. Since 2021, Kristi has worked as the secretary at her church, Mid Valley Community Church in Woodburn. She is Bilingual in Spanish and has a heart for missions, other cultures, and building community through strong relationships. Kristi loves being outside in nature. You may find her hiking, gardening, swimming, or kayaking.

Jamie designed the logo for Arise Women's Ministry. She is a resident of Turner and is a wife to Jake and mother to three daughters. She is a teacher by trade, working 5 years in the Salem Keizer School District and one year in the Cascade School District as a classroom teacher. She is currently a building substitute teacher for a local elementary school. She is in the thick of motherhood right now, juggling her daughters’ school and sports schedules. In her free time, Jamie enjoys baking, gardening, and camping with her family.

Motherhood has provided such a meaningful transformation for Janelle, providing new identity and reliance of God. He has placed it on her heart that we need more opportunities for Moms to connect, be in the Word together and provide encouragement for one another through community. She’s so excited about Moms of Grace launching and the work God will do. Janelle started her career as a K/1 teacher and now supports school districts as an Account Manager working for a EdTech Company. In the evenings and weekends, you’ll likely find her enjoying the beautiful PNW at the local community garden, hiking or adventuring with her family. The greatest blessing that God gave Janelle is her family. She has two boys and is married to her high school sweetheart.

Kris has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Education. She has three grown children and now has the joy of also being a grandmother. Kris has been attending Turner Christian Church for over 20 years and is active in their women’s ministry. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, visiting the beach, reading, gardening, and spending time with her family.
