Bring Your Curiosity
“Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. As a result, many of them believed, as did also a number of prominent Greek women and many Greek men.”
Acts 17:11-12 (NIV)

Arise and shine, dear one! God is with you!
I love a good Bible question… the kind that sends me down a rabbit trail of research: digging into the original language and context, weighing what a range of experts say, and landing on what I believe based on what Scripture actually says... not on what culture, or even well-meaning tradition, tells me to believe.
It excites me that there's always more to learn. And I'm grateful that beneath all that learning is solid ground: God's Word, the Truth we can build our lives on.
That's why I admire the Berean Jews. They didn't just take Paul's word for it when he shared the Gospel. They examined the Scriptures daily to see if what he said was true. And what they found was that Jesus as Messiah lined up perfectly with everything God had already been saying. As a result, they believed… and that belief spread to a number of prominent Greek women and men.
God can handle our curiosity. He's given us His Word and His Spirit to help us navigate every question we bring Him. And when we gather in community with other believers to search Scripture together, our understanding goes even deeper. That's what I love about Arise Women's Bible Study… it's a place to bring my questions, open my Bible, and dig alongside a sisterhood that's just as eager to know who God is through His Word.
Are you curious, dear one? Do you have questions you've been carrying, but haven't found the right place to ask them? Come. Join us for Bible study, our retreat, or Moms of Grace. Bring your questions… and like the Bereans, let's examine the Scriptures together. As a result, may our belief in a never-changing God keep growing, deeper and more certain with every question we bring Him.
