Follow His Lead

The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life.
I will advise you and watch over you.”
Psalm 32:8 (NLT)

Arise and shine, dear one! God is with you!

I was leading a girls' Bible study at my church during our first week on Esther. As we discussed how God leads us, one sweet girl looked up with a smile and confidently declared, "I just know God led me to this group!"

Even at her young age, she recognized the Lord guiding her steps.

Sometimes we sense His promptings to step into the unknown. Other times, we only see His hand clearly when we look back at where we've been. Either way, He's been there all along.

When David wrote Psalm 32, he reminded us that God doesn't guide us haphazardly. He leads us along the best pathway… not just any path, but the one perfectly suited for where He wants to take us. And He doesn't remain distant. He walks with us, advising and watching over us every step of the way.

Where is God leading you today, dear one? What's the next step He's asking you to take?

Like that girl in my group, maybe He's calling you to join a Bible study or serve at your church. Perhaps you've hesitated to walk through church doors again, but the Holy Spirit has been gently pressing on your heart that it's time… time to find where you belong.

Our God is not disengaged from your life. The Holy Spirit still speaks. Quiet your heart. Open His Word. Pay attention to what keeps surfacing in your thoughts, the Scripture that won't let you go, the door that keeps appearing. Ask Him where He wants you to take that next step. Listen for His voice. Then step out in faith, following His lead.
