God Won't Drop You

“Fear not, for I am with you;
be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Isaiah 41:10 (ESV)

Arise and shine, dear one! God is with you!

This last Saturday morning I was working out with some other ladies at my church. We lift weights and exercise while listening to worship songs. It’s awesome! During one of the routines, as I was holding a weight in my hand, it occurred to me that it would not be a good situation if I lost my grip and dropped one of these weights on myself. Not only would it be embarrassing, but injuring myself would not be pleasant.

Then I remembered how God is not like us. He doesn’t “accidentally” drop something, lose His keys, or worry what tomorrow will hold. God is sovereign, trustworthy, and omniscient. According to Isaiah 41:10, we don’t need to fear. We can trust that God is with us. We can find our strength in Him. He is our help. He upholds us with His righteous right hand…not letting us go or accidently dropping us.

We have a BIG God. Sometimes it’s easy for us to imagine Him with our human weaknesses, but we need to remember that He is so much more than we could ever imagine. The more you stay in God’s Word, the better you’ll see His consistent character and the Truth of who He really is.

In what situation do you need God’s help today? Remember that He’s holding you and He won’t drop you! You don’t need to fear. Trust Him, dear one! He’s got you.
