“One generation commends your works to another;
they tell of your mighty acts.
They speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty—
and I will meditate on your wonderful works.
They tell of the power of your awesome works—
and I will proclaim your great deeds.
They celebrate your abundant goodness
and joyfully sing of your righteousness.”
Psalm 145:4-7 (NIV)

I love attending women’s conferences. There’s just something so special about a room full of women worshiping and praising the Lord together. It was at one of those conferences that God laid something on my heart…what if there was an event like this that captured the essence of Psalm 145:4-7, a passage I had recently read? An event that celebrated God’s faithfulness across generations, providing the opportunity to give glory to our Father for all He has done and commend His works from one generation to another? I thought of my daughter whose faith I’ve seen forged in the building of her own testimony following a pit bull attack. God used that traumatic event to shine His light on her soul and reveal who He was as her healer.
We all have a testimony we can share. God is intentional to write the stories of our lives in such a way that brings Him glory. Yet too often we keep these stories to ourselves, written in journals, remembered in our thoughts, but not often spoken. How would the world change if we shared those testimonies with another person? If we were even bold enough to write of God’s awesome works on our social media, celebrating His abundant goodness in our lives?
You have influence, dear one! God has given you a story of His faithfulness in your life and it’s not meant to be kept to yourself. It’s meant to be shared! Tell someone today of how God has recently shown up in your life. Shine His light into the world and you may be surprised what an impact that sharing your testimony will have on others around you!
That event idea God placed on my heart while attending a women’s conference? It’s happening! Arise Women’s Ministry is holding our first ever Sisterhood Celebration on Saturday, March 22nd! Interested in joining us? Visit our Events webpage for more information and to register.
