Spreading the Gospel to the Ends of the Earth

How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
Romans 10:14-15 (NIV)

Arise and shine, dear one! God is with you!

It’s an exciting time of year for my family and for Arise Women’s Ministry. It’s Operation Christmas Child National Collection Week! We pack shoeboxes full of school supplies, hygiene items, and toys to send to a boy or girl in another part of the world. The children that receive the boxes are told about Jesus and given the opportunity to participate in a discipleship program.

My kids have grown to love our family tradition of packing these boxes! Romans 10:14-15 reminds us of the importance of sharing the Good News. How can others hear about Jesus, if no one tells them? We may never go to the ends of the earth to share the Good News of Jesus, but by packing these boxes and praying over them, we are partnering with the ministry of the Gospel being shared all over the world.

As you go about your day, ask the Lord to show you how you can spread the Gospel. Maybe you’ll pack an Operation Christmas Child box. You may think of a neighbor that you’d like to get to know better and invite them over for dinner, opening the door for a friendship that may allow you to speak God’s Truth into their life. Or God may prompt you to not give up praying for that family member or friend and continue to wait on His timing. He’s not done working in their lives yet!

In whatever way you may participate in sharing the Gospel, dear one, know that it makes a difference. God is at work in the lives of those locally and throughout the world!
