The Wonder of Our Creator
“This is what the Lord says—
your Redeemer, who formed you in the womb:
I am the Lord,
the Maker of all things,
who stretches out the heavens,
who spreads out the earth by myself.”
Isaiah 44:24 (NIV)

Arise and shine, dear one! God is with you!
"Everything looks great on the x-ray! Sarah's arm is healing beautifully. You can see the new bone growth. It's amazing how quickly kids heal."
I sat in the doctor's office with my 8-year-old daughter, who had broken her arm, near her wrist, while rollerblading just before school started. Today was cast-removal day! As I studied the x-ray on the screen and listened to the doctor's encouraging words, I found myself in awe of our Creator. How incredible that He designed our bodies with the ability to heal themselves, including bones knitting back together! I couldn't help but wonder: how could anyone miss the fingerprints of God in the way He crafted our bodies and the world around us?
This same sense of wonder washed over me during our Arise Women's Ministry Fall Retreat when I hiked Silver Falls with a group of ladies. Standing in front of those majestic waterfalls, I was breathless at the beauty before me. As Isaiah reminds us, He is the Lord, the Maker of all things! From the intricate cells in our bodies to the vast expanse of the universe, He made it all.
What aspect of God's creation takes your breath away, dear one? When did you last pause to praise Him as Creator of the universe? The same God who spoke galaxies into existence chose to form YOU in your mother's womb. You are part of His amazing creation.
Take time today to glorify Him for all that He has made… including you!
