When Creation Speaks

“The heavens proclaim the glory of God.
The skies display his craftsmanship.
Day after day they continue to speak;
night after night they make him known.
They speak without a sound or word;
their voice is never heard.
Yet their message has gone throughout the earth,
and their words to all the world.”
Psalm 19:1-4 (NLT)

Arise and shine, dear one! God is with you!

It was one of those rare evenings when the temperature felt just right and my soul was quietly longing for time with the Lord. I laced up my shoes and headed out the door, tracing a familiar path while watching clouds drift across the sky.

As I walked and talked with the Lord, He answered… not audibly, but through His Word. Verses came to mind, comforting my heart and reminding me of the unchanging character of our God. Then, as I rounded a corner and crested a hill, I stopped. Light was streaming beneath the clouds, and the sky was alive with color… brilliant orange melting into soft, breathtaking pink.

In that moment, I wasn't just watching a sunset. I was witnessing God speak.

He had already been speaking through His Word on my walk, and now He was speaking through His creation. Standing before one of the most beautiful skies I'd ever seen, I sensed Him whisper gently to my heart: "I have not forgotten you."

This is what Psalm 19 describes. God's craftsmanship on full display, proclaiming His glory without making a sound. No words, yet nothing left unsaid.

What message do you need to hear from the Lord today, dear one?

He is still speaking… through Scripture, through stillness, through the world He crafted with you in mind. Step outside. Open His Word. Listen. He is a God who sees you, knows you, and has not forgotten you. You might be surprised how tenderly He can whisper His Truth to your heart.
